Nowadays, Vietnam integrates more and more deeply into the world economy that brings lots of opportunities to expand the market for Vietnam textile and garment.

On 30th June 2018, in Hanoi, The European Union – Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA) was signed. The Trade Agreement created lots of changes and challenges for Vietnam’s textiles and garments field.
Trading with the EU and Vietnam
Vietnam and the EU have committed to liberalizing all tariffs in a timeframe. The most important point is a seven-year timeline for Vietnam’s textile and footwear products.
This is a favorable opportunity for the Vietnam textile industry because the EU is a large market and the world’s top market for textile and apparel import.
In spite of the EU is also the second-largest market of Vietnam textiles export, it is a market has applied the criteria for evaluating import product quality very strictly such as ISO 9000 and ISO 14000.
Therefore, to enhance competitive strength, Vietnam needs to invest better in various designs, materials and quality for its products.
