Job Description

The client is region‘s largest weft knit manufacturer. The Client manufactures knitted fabric for the intimate, outerwear and active wear segments specializing in the manufacture of high quality, weft knitted and dyed stretch fabrics. It is a major supplier to apparel manufacturers throughout Asia and end chain retailers like Marks & Spencer, Victoria’s Secret and Calvin Klein.  The Client’s group consist of fabric manufacturing and printing both woven & knitted fabrics. The group’s annual turnover is USD 191 million. It is a listed company backed by two leading industrialists as its main shareholders.  We are looking for a highly capable individual who are competent to handle the fabric sample development Technical & Functional operations to drive a key business portfolio.

The Job:

• Responsible for understanding the customers requirement and develop samples as per their product style mix requirement
• Responsible to study the technical and quality parameters of the style mix and guide the team to prepare the tech packs
• Coordinate with internal departments to achieve the sample developments as per the Time & Action plan and achieve 100% OTD on sample delivery.
• Provide technical hand holding / support to internal stake holders to achieve the functional KPI’s
• Ensure smooth execution of the entire development process from tech pack to sample dispatch.
• Liaise with internal / external cross-functional teams whilst building lasting relationships with the customer

Working Location: India

Job Requirements

• Possess a Degree in Marketing, Management, Textile Engineering or Any Other Equivalent Qualification
• 10 to 20 years of experience in sample development.
• Far East working experience is an added advantage.
• If the candidate has handled the Uniqlo customer is also an added advantage.
• Demonstrable Ability to Communicate, Present and Influence Key Stakeholders at All Levels
• Excellent People Management Skills.
• Good Analytical Capability.
• Basic Computer Skills of Office Applications
