Job Description
- May manage Material Property/Material Control Analysts.
- Develop and manage the requisite systems and tools necessary to control and track inventory transactions, material availability and material impacts on expense and cost.
- Provide support, resource and documentation to successfully pass customer audits representing inventory control, GFM/CFM, and related functions/controls as necessary.
- Coordinate activities with internal and external customers to address inventory, schedules and focus on improvements.
- Compiles and reports critical cost indicators and trends to management.
- Oversees cycle count activities and physical inventories.
- Acts as, and/or provides reporting and assistance to Government Property Administrator for reporting and inventory tracking of Government Owned Property.
- Interface with program management and other Business Operations management on key issues and ensure resolution.
- Identify, implement, measure and report on process improvements and metrics focused on streamlining operations, reducing cost and increasing accuracy within function.
- Implement and execute continuous improvement initiatives.
- Comply with Government, GD-OTS corporate and business unit policies, procedures and regulations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or Accounting; or at least 7 years related experience including at least 5 years of direct experience in a related field.
- Must have experience in Inventory Management, Material Controls, Complex Production Programs, Planning, and Scheduling in support of government projects.
- Strong management skills while aligning the organization to meet changing demands.
- Strong computer skills e.g., MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, and Earned Value Management (EVMS).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
